You will have dinner after visiting Kodai-ji Temple and Hokan-ji Temple (Commonly called “Yasaka Pagoda”), which are designated important cultural properties.
THE SODOH HIGASHIYAMA KYOTO
This restaurant was the home of a Japanese style painter, Takeuchi Seiho. It is in scenic Higashiyama, which is one of the most well-preserved historic areas of Kyoto. The inside of the restaurant is a perfect place to enjoy the beautiful garden and the view of Higashiyama.
Kodai-ji Temple
Kodai-ji was established in 1606 in memory of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, one of Japan's greatest historical figures, by his wife Nene, who is enshrined at the temple along with her husband. We have booked the beautiful garden of the temple for our exclusive enjoyment as part of an aperitif plan. It will be a special night, with the beautiful illuminated garden.
Hokan-ji Temple
This is a landmark in the Higashiyama, officially “Hokan-ji Temple”, but commonly known as the "Yasaka Pagoda". The five-storied pagoda, which has been designated as an important cultural property, is a pure Japanese style building of 5 floors, each with a sloping tiled roof. It is 46 meters high and conveys the architectural style of the late seventh century AD.
